- Brand: Danfoss
- Model: 19.10.080
The Danfoss KP 61 (code 060L110266) is a remote-sensor thermostat that switches according to temperature in refrigeration and air conditioning installations. Its setting range is −30 … +13 °C; when the set value is reached, the contact changes over to switch the compressor, fan or heater on or off.
Remote Point Measurement: 2 m Capillary Tube + Ø9.5 × 70 mm Coil Sensor
This model’s sensor is type B: Ø9.5 × 70 mm remote air coil and is connected to the housing by a 2-meter capillary tube. This means that while the thermostat is mounted on a panel or wall, the measuring point can be 2 meters away: inside a cold room, at the evaporator outlet, in an air duct or inside a cabinet.
Do not confuse with the sister model: the KP 62 (060L110666) is from the same family, but its sensor is attached to the housing and has no capillary tube — it measures the air where the device sits. If you will measure a remote point, the KP 61 is the right choice; if you will measure the environment where the device is located, choose the KP 62.

- 🔧 Place the sensor in the right spot. The coil sensor is placed at a point where the air whose temperature you want to control circulates freely. In front of a door, near a heat source or in a dead zone with no airflow gives false readings.
- ⚠️ Do not crush, sharply bend or shorten the capillary tube. The vapour charge inside it is the measurement itself; if the tube is damaged, the thermostat will not work and cannot be repaired. Coil any excess length in wide loops.
- Choose the differential to suit the job: a narrow differential keeps the temperature steady but cycles the compressor often; a wide differential reduces the number of starts and increases temperature swing.
- The SPDT contact can be used for both cooling (switch on when temperature rises) and heating (switch on when temperature falls) — wire according to the terminal diagram.
- IP30 is for indoor use; in wet or washed-down areas, place the housing inside an enclosure.
