The Cross-Flow Fan (Tangential Fan), which distributes air evenly and quietly into the room by passing it over the evaporator surface in air conditioner indoor units, is one of the most critical moving parts of your air conditioning system. Fan blades that become dusty, lose their balance, deform or break over time cause noise, vibration and serious performance loss in the unit. Our wide range of cross-flow fans, compatible with air conditioners of different brands and BTU capacities, restores your air conditioner to its original quietness and air throw.
High Performance, Quiet Operation and Full Compatibility
The indoor unit fan running at the correct speed, without wobbling and smoothly, both saves energy and prevents unnecessary strain on the motor. The cross-flow fans in our category are manufactured from high-quality ABS plastic and come factory-balanced. Replacing your worn or broken fan with a new fan blade matching your unit's values instantly increases the cooling and heating efficiency of your air conditioner.
Technical Tips for Choosing the Right Cross-Flow Fan
Before ordering a new cross-flow fan for your air conditioner, it is very important to check some critical dimensions and structural features of your old fan to ensure full compatibility:
- Dimensions: The cylinder diameter and length of the fan (excluding the shaft protrusions at the ends) must be identical to the old fan to the millimetre.
- Shaft and Socket Type: Pay attention to which of the shaft entry types suits your system: internal motor, external motor, half-moon socket or set-screw (slotted) shaft.
- Material Structure: Long-lasting plastic body resistant to continuous air flow, hot-cold temperature changes and flexing.
- Balancing: Designs conforming to standards, with metal balance clips on them, that prevent vibration and noise at high speeds.
Practical Usage Note for Technicians in the Field
Technician's Note: When fitting the new fan, avoid applying disproportionate force to the fan motor shaft and the rubber bearing block on the left-hand side. The tiny metal clips you will see on the fan blades are for the precise balancing carried out during manufacture; never remove them or change their positions. After completing the installation, turn the fan one full revolution by hand before powering up the air conditioner. After making sure that it does not rub against the drain pan or the evaporator fins, run the unit to complete the mechanical test.
