Sanhua SHF-19013 4-Way Reversing Valve – 3/8", 9.1-15.1 kW, Without Coil

Sanhua SHF-19013 (manufacturer model code SHF(L)-11H-35U-51) is a 4-way valve that reverses the cycle in heat pumps and heating-cooling systems. It has 3/8" connections and operates in the 9.1 - 15.1 kW capacity band.

Reverses the Cycle in a Heat Pump — The Same Circuit Both Heats and Cools

The 4-way valve determines which heat exchanger the compressor discharge gas is sent to. In the cooling position the outdoor unit is the condenser and the indoor unit is the evaporator; when the valve changes position, the roles are reversed and the same circuit heats. The defrost cycle is also carried out with this valve.

The valve is operated by gas pressure: it is the pressure difference in the system that moves the slide inside. Electricity goes only to the coil that drives the small pilot valve, which sets the direction. Therefore, for the valve to change position, there must be a certain pressure differential in the system.

🚨 Coil Not Included

Sanhua 4-way valves are sold without a coil. For the valve to change direction, the coil that drives the pilot valve is ordered separately. It is selected according to the supply voltage:

• 🔧 Brazing warning: the body of the 4-way valve is thin-walled and contains a PTFE slide. While brazing, wrap the body in a wet cloth and do not point the flame directly at the body — excessive heat permanently jams the slide.
• 🔧 Mounting position: the valve is mounted with the coil facing upward or with the body axis horizontal.
• Fault diagnosis: if the valve does not change direction, check in order — (1) is the coil winding intact, (2) is voltage reaching the coil, (3) is there sufficient pressure differential in the system. If all three are fine, the problem is a blocked pilot valve.
