Sanhua SHF-56024 4-Way Valve Coil – AC 220-240 V, 4.5 W, IP54, with 1500 mm Cable

The Sanhua SHF-56024 is the coil that drives the pilot valve of SHF series 4-way reversing valves. It operates on AC 220-240 V and is connected by 1500 mm (1.5 meter) lead wires coming out of the body — no separate connector is needed.

Coil for SHF Series 4-Way Valves — Long Version with 1.5 Meter Cable

In heat pumps and heating-cooling split systems, the element that reverses the cycle is the 4-way valve. The valve itself works on gas pressure; the small pilot valve that determines which way it switches is actuated by this coil. If the coil has failed, the valve cannot change position: the system either always cools or always heats.

Why 1500 mm? This coil and the SHF-56001 with 500 mm cable are the same coil — same winding code (SHF-4-10L3), same voltage, same power. The only difference is the cable length. If the control box is far from the valve or the cable follows a long route in the outdoor unit, the 1.5-meter version requires no extra terminals or intermediate splices. An intermediate splice is where faults most often start in the outdoor unit due to moisture and vibration.

4-way valves are sold without coils. When you fit a new valve or a coil burns out, you do not need to replace the whole valve — the coil slides on from outside; the cable is disconnected, the old coil is removed and the new one fitted. No brazing, no refrigerant recovery.

Other Voltage and Cable Options in the Same Series

• ⚠️ Do not mix up the voltage. All lead-wire coils look the same from the outside; the only distinguishing feature is the product number. For 220-240 V, take SHF-56024 (1.5 m) or SHF-56001 (0.5 m); for 24 V, take SHF-56005. The wrong voltage burns out the coil instantly.
• 🔧 Replacement: switch off the supply, remove the coil’s retaining nut/clip and pull the coil off the pilot valve stem. Fit the new coil the same way — no work on the system, refrigerant recovery or brazing is required.
• Fault diagnosis: if the valve does not change direction, measure the coil first. If the winding is open, the resistance reads infinite; if the coil is sound, the problem is in the pilot valve or insufficient pressure differential (a 4-way valve requires a certain Δp in the system to change position).
• Heating is normal: a continuously energized coil feels hot to the touch; the limit is a winding temperature of 130 °C.
• The IP54 protection class is against dust and water splashes; do not expose it to direct water jets or constant wetness. Use spiral protection when routing the long cable past sharp sheet metal edges.
