Testo 915i (product code 0563 2915) is a wireless surface temperature probe operated with a smartphone or tablet. The set includes the Bluetooth handle and a fast-response surface probe with a spring-loaded thermocouple strip (TC type K, class 1). It measures in the range −50 … +350 °C; because the spring-loaded strip adapts to the surface, it gives reliable results even on uneven surfaces such as pipes. Readings are transferred via Bluetooth to the free Testo Smart App or to compatible Testo measuring instruments.

Fast Wireless Temperature Measurement on Pipes and Rough Surfaces

When switched on, the Testo 915i establishes an automatic Bluetooth connection to a smartphone, tablet or compatible Testo measuring instruments such as the Testo 550s and Testo 400; the range is up to 100 meters. The app shows live readings and temperature curves graphically; a measurement report is created on site and sent as a PDF or CSV file. Thanks to factory system calibration, the probe and handle come calibrated together.

The locking mechanism on the handle ensures easy and secure connection of plug-in Testo probes. The handle is compatible with all Testo and standard type K thermocouple probes, so it can be used with air, immersion or other surface probes in a wide range of temperature applications.

Technician Tips

• Seat the strip fully on the surface: press the spring-loaded thermocouple strip perpendicular to the pipe or surface so that it makes full contact; partial contact shows a low value.
• Wait until the value settles: the response time t90 is 3 seconds; take the reading after the value has stabilized.
• Remove insulation and paint: on an insulated pipe, open the insulation at the measuring point; thick paint and rust distort the measurement.
• Use it with a manifold: when paired with the Testo 550s digital manifold, the pipe temperature appears wirelessly on the manifold display.
• Take care on hot surfaces: the measuring range is up to +350 °C; do not use it on surfaces above this value, and the probe tip may remain hot after measuring.
