T-1414 90° Elbow Adapter – 1/4" × 1/4" SAE (R22 · R134a · R404A), for Manifold Hoses
- Stock: In Stock
- Brand: OEM
- Model: 01 19 65
The T-1414 is an elbow adapter that connects a manifold hose to the service valve at a 90° right angle. One end is 1/4" SAE male and the other a 1/4" SAE female swivel nut — this size is the standard service port on R22, R134a, R404A and R407C systems. There is no valve or restriction in between; it is straight-through.
Connects the Hose at a Right Angle — Prevents Kinking and Leaks in Tight Spaces
When the service valve is close to a wall, panel or casing corner, a hose fitted straight on bends sharply. A bent hose creates two problems: flow is restricted (evacuation slows, charging becomes harder) and a constant side load is placed on the fitting end — over time this load damages the seal surface and starts a leak.
The elbow adapter routes the hose away from the valve at a right angle. The hose runs in its natural direction and no strain remains on the fitting. It makes work possible especially when the outdoor unit is close to a rear wall, in the engine compartment for automotive AC and on systems with panels.
The body is blue anodized aluminum and the connection end is brass. The female nut is knurled and hand-tightened.
Technical Specifications
- Model: T-1414 · 90° elbow adapter
- Connection 1: 1/4" SAE male flare (brass, with hex wrench flats)
- Connection 2: 1/4" SAE female swivel nut (blue anodized, knurled — hand-tightened)
- Angle: 90° fixed elbow
- Passage: straight-through — no valve or shut-off on it
- Body: blue anodized aluminum + brass end · with seal
- Applications: air conditioning, refrigeration and automotive AC service ports · manifold and vacuum lines
- 🔧 How to fit: Hand-tighten the adapter’s blue female nut onto the male port of the service valve; connect the female fitting of the manifold hose to the brass male end of the adapter. The hose then leaves the valve at a right angle. Depending on where you want to gain space, the adapter can also be used the other way round (on the hose side).
- Hand-tighten, do not force with a wrench. An SAE flare connection seals on its seal surface; excessive torque crushes the cone and causes a permanent leak. The hex on the brass end is only for holding against.
- Keep the seal surface clean. If dust and chips settle on the flare surface, a leak starts; wipe before connecting, and a drop of refrigeration oil improves sealing.
- 🔎 Which size is yours? 1/4" — this product: R22 · R134a · R404A · R407C (classic refrigeration and older air conditioning systems). 5/16" — other version: for R410A · R32 systems choose the T-1456 model; that model also converts a 5/16" port to a 1/4" hose. If you are not sure, try your manifold hose on the service port: if the hose is loose, the port is 5/16".
- If you need a valve: If shut-off is also required, 90° angled charging control valves are available in our catalog — this adapter has no shut-off.
