Sanhua SHF-50017 (engineering equivalent SHF(L)-70-810) is a pilot-operated 4-way reversing valve that switches between cooling ↔ heating by changing the refrigerant flow direction in heat pumps and reversible systems. It is a large-capacity commercial valve, used in systems up to approximately 67.4 kW (ΔP 0.1 bar) with R410A. It contains a main slide valve + integrated pilot valve.

4-Way Reversing Valve for Heat Pumps

The 4-way reversing valve changes the direction of the compressor discharge gas, swapping the evaporator ↔ condenser roles between the indoor/outdoor units; a single circuit provides both cooling and heating. The pilot coil is NOT INCLUDED — it is ordered separately according to voltage (Sanhua SHF-4-10L3 / SHF-56001 is suitable for 220-240V in Turkey).

Technician Tips

• Coil purchased separately: This product is the valve body; order the pilot coil suited to the mains voltage (220-240V in Turkey) separately, otherwise the valve will not work.
• Protect the valve body with a wet cloth / heat-absorbing paste during brazing; excessive heat damages the internal pilot and seals (observe the max. body temperature).
• Braze the connections under nitrogen; confirm the port directions (discharge / suction / indoor-outdoor lines) before installation.
• Flammable refrigerants (R32/R290) are not recommended for this size (≥1" tube); check the list of suitable refrigerants.
