Rothenberger ROMUTE DIGITAL Super Silent (product code 1099966) is a wall-mounted air conditioner condensate pump that drains the condensate collected in split, cassette and ducted indoor units. In three different flow modes it pumps 20, 30 and 40 L/h of water; with a 20 meter discharge head and a 16–19 dB(A) sound level, it is designed for installations where the condensate cannot drain by gravity in places requiring quiet, such as bedrooms, hotels, offices and meeting rooms.

ROMUTE DIGITAL is designed to operate in low, medium and high flow modes according to the unit's capacity. In low mode it produces only 16 dB(A) at 20 L/h; in high mode, at 40 L/h, it handles the condensate of indoor units with up to 46 kW (157,000 BTU/h) of cooling capacity. Level detection is contactless via a capacitive sensor; therefore faults caused by a stuck or dirty float do not occur. Built-in operation monitoring tracks the pump's status, and in case of a problem the diagnostic LED on the body gives a warning. Since the pump can lift up to 2 meters on the suction side, it can be wall-mounted next to the indoor unit or at a suitable point rather than below it. Technician's Tips

• Select the flow mode to suit the unit: on small split air conditioners, low mode is quieter and also reduces dry running of the pump; leave high mode for large cassette and ducted units.
• Keep the suction line short: the 2 m suction limit is the value under ideal installation conditions; run the suction hose as short and kink-free as possible.
• Don't leave dips in the discharge line: first route the drain hose upward and then let it run with a continuous slope; water collects in dips in the line and strains the pump unnecessarily.
• Don't transfer vibration to the wall: fix the pump to a solid surface and do not leave the hoses taut; the real difference in quiet operation comes from installation.
• Periodic cleaning: in dusty and greasy environments, clean the drain pan and hose inlet during maintenance; a clogged inlet is the most common cause of noise and flow loss.
