Danfoss EKS 211 NTC Temperature Sensor (084N3211) – NTC 5 kΩ, 6 m Cable, −40…+80 °C, IP67

Danfoss EKS 211 (code 084N3211), used for temperature measurement in refrigeration and air conditioning systems, is an NTC-type temperature sensor. It comes with a 6 meter PVC cable and has pin terminals.

NTC 5 kΩ Sensor — Must Not Be Confused with Pt1000

⚠️ NTC and Pt1000 are not interchangeable. This sensor is NTC 5 kΩ: its resistance decreases as temperature rises (negative coefficient). Danfoss' AKS 11 sensor, on the other hand, is Pt1000, and with rising temperature its resistance increases.

Always check which sensor type your controller expects. If the wrong type is fitted, the device reads the temperature completely wrong — and most controllers do not even detect this as a fault.

• 🔧 Installation: When measuring on a pipe, the sensor is attached so that it makes full contact with the pipe and is insulated over. Without insulation, the ambient temperature distorts the measurement.
• Do not route the sensor cable in the same duct as power cables — electrical noise affects the NTC signal.
• Be careful when extending: With NTC sensors, cable resistance is added to the measurement; with long extensions the deviation increases.
• IP67 protection means it can be used safely in humid environments and in the evaporator area.
