Cubigel NUY140NAb is a 1/2 HP hermetic reciprocating compressor made for commercial refrigeration appliances operating at sub-zero and low positive temperatures, such as freezer cabinets, ice cream display cases and refrigerated cabinets. It runs on R290 (propane); with a displacement of 14.2 cm³ it delivers a cooling capacity of 663 W (2,262 BTU/h) at ASHRAE LMBP conditions.

R290 Propane LMBP Compressor: Wide Operating Range for Freezer and Refrigerated Cabinets

The NUY140NAb belongs to the LMBP (low-medium back pressure) class and can operate at evaporating temperatures between −40 °C and 0 °C; the same compressor can be used in both freezer and low-temperature cooler applications. Thanks to its CSR (start and run capacitor) motor, fan-cooled body and ability to work with a capillary tube or an expansion valve, it suits a wide range of appliances. Propane has a GWP of 3; it is a suitable option for low-charge systems that are not affected by F-Gas restrictions.
