Cubigel NPT16LA Hermetic Compressor – 1/2 HP, R290, LBP 756 W

Cubigel NPT16LA is a 1/2 HP hermetic reciprocating compressor made for commercial refrigeration appliances operating at sub-zero temperatures, such as freezer cabinets, chest freezers and ice cream display cases. It runs on R290 (propane); with a displacement of 16.15 cm³ it delivers a cooling capacity of 756 W (2,579 BTU/h) at ASHRAE LBP conditions.

R290 Propane LBP Compressor: For Freezer Cabinets and Chest Freezers

Built on the P series body, the NPT16LA operates at evaporating temperatures down to −40 °C with its fan-cooled design and CSR (start and run capacitor) motor; it can be used in capillary tube and expansion valve systems. Propane has a GWP of 3; it is a suitable option for low-charge systems that are not affected by F-Gas restrictions.

• 🔥 R290 is a flammable refrigerant (class A3). Brazing, leak testing and charging must be carried out according to the rules for flammable refrigerants: a ventilated area, no ignition sources and compliance with charge limits are essential. This compressor is for R290 systems only.
• 🔧 When replacing: with the CSR connection, the start and run capacitors are used together; compare the refrigerant, LBP class and mounting hole spacing of the old compressor with the dimension drawing.
• Application limit: This model is LBP — it is for sub-zero freezers. It is not used in positive-temperature cooler and water dispenser (HBP) applications.
