Testo 915i with flexible probe (product code 0563 4915) is a wireless thermocouple thermometer operated with a smartphone or tablet. The set includes the Bluetooth handle and a flexible, fast-response temperature sensor with an 800 mm fiberglass-sheathed cable (TC type K, class 1). It measures in the range −50 … +400 °C. To measure air temperature, the flexible thermocouple wire can be passed through drill holes, gaps or door gaskets; it is ideal for measuring points that rigid probes cannot reach.

Wireless Temperature Measurement Where Rigid Probes Cannot Reach

When switched on, the Testo 915i establishes an automatic Bluetooth connection to a smartphone, tablet or compatible Testo measuring instruments such as the Testo 550s and Testo 400; the range is up to 100 meters. The free Testo Smart App shows live readings and temperature curves graphically; a measurement report is created on site and sent as a PDF or CSV file. Factory system calibration ensures high measuring accuracy.

The locking mechanism on the handle ensures easy and secure connection of plug-in Testo probes. The handle is compatible with all Testo and standard type K thermocouple probes; by fitting different probes to the same handle, it can be used in a wide range of temperature applications.

Technician Tips

• Measure the inside temperature without opening the door: in cold rooms and cabinets, pass the flexible wire through the door gasket and close the door; no cold is lost during measurement.
• Keep the hole small in ducts and grilles: the thin flexible wire passes through a small hole drilled in the duct; seal the hole with a plug or tape after measuring.
• Leave the sensor tip free: for air temperature, the tip must not touch surfaces or metal; a tip in contact shows the temperature of the surface, not the air.
• Wait until the value settles: the response time t90 is 3 seconds; take the reading after the value has stabilized.
• Do not kink the cable sharply: the fiberglass-sheathed wire is flexible, but repeated sharp bending at the same point fatigues the wire; store it coiled.
