Testo 174 H BT (product code 0572 1743 01) is a mini temperature and humidity data logger that measures and records temperature and relative humidity at set intervals and connects via Bluetooth to the Testo Smart App. It measures in the range of −20 … +70 °C temperature and 0 … 100 %RH humidity and stores up to 16,000 pairs of readings. It is suitable for monitoring climatic conditions in warehouses, offices and production areas, and the storage conditions of temperature- and humidity-sensitive products such as food and archives.

Temperature and Humidity Logging in Warehouses, Offices and Production Areas

Programming the logger, reading out and evaluating data are done with the free Testo Smart App; data are read via Bluetooth from a distance of up to 30 meters from the measuring point. In the app, PDF reports and CSV/JSN exports are created, and photos and comments can be added and sent by e-mail. The measuring interval can be selected between 1 minute and 24 hours; logging starts by pressing the GO button for 3 seconds or at the programmed date and time.

The LCD display shows the current value, the highest and lowest recorded values, the programmed upper/lower alarm values and the battery status; when an alarm value is exceeded, the corresponding symbol lights up. Recorded data are retained when the battery runs out or is being replaced. With 2 × CR2032 batteries it runs for approximately 1 year at a 15-minute measuring interval. It is HACCP certified.

Technician Tips

• Allow for the stabilization time: the specified accuracy applies to t99; do not include the first half hour of humidity records and the first 35 minutes of temperature records of a newly placed logger in the evaluation.
• Keep it away from dust: do not use the logger in dusty environments, as the humidity sensor can become contaminated.
• Consult for continuously high humidity: measurement is intended for non-condensing environments; consult the manufacturer for prolonged use at very high humidity (for example above 80% RH for more than 12 hours below 30 °C).
• Place it at the right point: fix it with the wall bracket at a point representative of the monitored area, rather than directly in front of doors, air conditioner or heater outlets and heat sources.
• Do not let it come into direct contact with food: the logger must not touch unpackaged food.
