Testo 608-H1 (product code 0560 6081) is a digital thermohygrometer (humidity and temperature meter) designed for continuous monitoring of the indoor climate. It continuously shows 10 … 95 %RH relative humidity, 0 … +50 °C temperature and the calculated dew point on its large LCD display. It is used in offices, warehouses, laboratories and living spaces; thanks to its hanging and stand brackets, it can be hung on a wall or placed on a desk or shelf.

Display Continuously Showing Indoor Humidity and Temperature

The device measures temperature and humidity every 18 seconds and updates the display; the values on the large two-line display can be read comfortably from a distance. Max. and min. values can be viewed on the display and reset, and the temperature unit can be selected as °C or °F. A fast-responding NTC temperature sensor and a capacitive Testo humidity sensor with long-term stability are used.

It runs for approx. 1 year on a 9 V block battery; it gives a warning on the display when the end of battery life approaches. It is suitable for areas such as offices, warehouses and laboratories where data logging is not needed and current climate values should be visible at all times.

Technician Tips

• Place it at the right spot: hang the device where air circulates, away from direct sunlight, air conditioner outlets, radiators and heat-emitting equipment.
• Wait after moving it: when you move it to an environment with a different temperature, wait a while for the humidity and temperature values to settle.
• Mind the operating temperature: the device is designed for 0 … +50 °C environments; do not use it inside cold rooms and freezers.
• Protect it from condensation: the measuring range is for non-condensing environments; do not place it where steam and water droplets form.
• Plan calibration: the long-term stability of the humidity sensor is ±1 %RH/year; have periodic calibration carried out in sensitive areas such as laboratories.
