Sporlan SEH-P Stepper Motor Electronic Expansion Valve – 1,050 kW / ≈300 Ton

Sporlan SEH-P, a stepper motor electronic expansion valve (EEV). 1,050 kW (≈300 ton) of capacity allows it to control liquid injection on supermarket racks, chillers and industrial refrigeration lines. Its bipolar stepper motor positions the valve steplessly, providing superheat control with a precision a thermostatic valve cannot achieve.

Series note: The SEH body is the capacity class above the SEH(I)-175; it works with the same driver family and M12 cable.

Why an Electronic Valve?

• Precise superheat: The stepper motor adjusts the flow continuously and steplessly; it runs stably even at part load, and energy consumption drops.
• Wide capacity band: Electronic control feeds smoothly across the 10-100% load range — a thermostatic valve goes into hunting in this band.
• Controller compatibility: Works with Sporlan/standard EEV drivers; if the signal is lost, the valve can be moved to a safe position.

• 🔧 Protect the motor head with a wet cloth while brazing; if the body temperature exceeds the limit, the winding is damaged.
• Enter the driver parameters according to the valve model — a wrong step count will keep the valve from opening fully or drive it against its end stop.
• Use a strainer/filter: EEV seating surfaces are more sensitive to particles than those of a thermostatic valve.
