The Sanhua DPF(TS1)2.4C-40 is a stepper-motor electronic expansion valve (EEV). Instead of the mechanical balance of a thermostatic valve, it uses a 4-phase stepper motor positioned by pulses from the controller: the valve completes full stroke in 500 steps and keeps superheat within a much narrower band.

500-Step Stepper Motor: Continuous and Precise Superheat Control

A thermostatic valve (TXV) only reacts to sensor pressure and can hunt when the load changes. An EEV, on the other hand, opens/closes step by step according to the actual superheat measured by the controller; it operates stably even at part load and prevents excessive superheat and liquid return. Because it is suitable for bidirectional flow, it is also used in systems whose cycle direction changes, such as heat pumps.

⚠️ Mind the body type: This product is the DPF(TS1) 1.0~2.4 body: connection diameter Ø6.35 mm and the outlet tube is an elbow. The larger DPF(TS1) 3.0~3.2 body has a straight outlet and Ø7.94 mm — verify your tube diameter before ordering.

• ⚠️ The coil is sold separately. The valve body comes without a coil; this series uses the PQ-M10 coil. Cable length options are 700 / 1500 / 2000 mm, connector type XHP-5.
• 🔧 Mounting orientation is critical: Mount with the coil facing upward and the valve rotor axis deviating no more than ±15° from vertical. If laid on its side, the rotor drags and step loss begins.
• The inlet connection should be routed from the side and the outlet downward (manufacturer recommendation).
• Cool the body with a wet cloth during brazing and remove the coil; braze with a nitrogen purge.
• A controller is required: An EEV does not work on its own — it is used with the Sanhua SEC series or a compatible EEV driver.
