Embraco NEU 6210 Z Refrigerator Compressor (Hermetic Compressor) – 1/2 HP, R134a, HBP, 1,231 W / 4,200 BTU/h, 220-240 V

The Embraco NEU 6210 Z (also written NEU6210Z; searched for in the field simply as 6210 Z) is a hermetic reciprocating refrigerator compressor running on R134a. According to the Embraco catalogue it is designed for HBP (high back pressure) applications. With a displacement of 12.1 cm³ it delivers a cooling capacity of 1,231 W (4,200 BTU/h) at the ASHRAE rating point (+7.2 °C evaporating / +54.4 °C condensing); its efficiency is 2.37 W/W. Technician Tips

• Do not neglect the fan: the compressor is designed to be fan-cooled; Embraco requires an airflow of 520 m³/h. Direct the airflow of the condenser fan over the compressor body as well.
• Use in the HBP range: this model is for high evaporating temperatures (bottle coolers, display cabinets, commercial refrigerators); for freezer (LBP) applications choose Embraco's LBP series.
• Take care with POE oil: the compressor contains POE ISO 22 oil. POE oil absorbs moisture quickly; open the compressor immediately before installation, evacuate the system thoroughly and always replace the filter drier.
• Wire the electrical connection correctly: the CSIR motor runs with a start relay, start capacitor and overload protector; no run capacitor is connected. The starting current is 18.5 A; do not run the compressor without the starting device connected.
• Choose tube sizes to match the connections: suction inside diameter 8.10-8.20 mm (5/16 inch), discharge and service inside diameter 6.10-6.20 mm (1/4 inch) copper.
• Choose the right version: if your supply is 220-240 V / 50 Hz, this product; for a 60 Hz or 200-230 V supply, choose the dual-frequency NEU 6210 Z version.
