Danfoss 061F8494 ACB-2UB465W Cartridge Pressure Switch – 19/23 bar, Automatic Reset, Fan Control

Danfoss 061F8494 (type ACB-2UB465W) is a cartridge pressure switch fitted on the high pressure side of the refrigeration circuit. It cuts in at 23 bar, cuts out at 19 bar and has automatic reset.

Switches the Condenser Fan According to Pressure — Prevents Excessive Condensing in Winter

As the air gets colder, the condenser cools more than necessary; the condensing pressure drops, the expansion valve cannot find a sufficient pressure differential and the evaporator cannot be fed. The result: loss of capacity, continuous running and liquid return.

This switch links the fan to pressure: when the condensing pressure exceeds 23 bar the fan runs, and when it falls to 19 bar it stops. This keeps the condensing pressure in the same band in winter and summer. In summer, it keeps the fan running continuously and prevents high pressure cut-outs.

The cartridge type body is much smaller than classic pressure switches and screws directly onto the line — no separate panel space, capillary tube or clamp is required.

• 🔧 Automatic reset: when the pressure returns within the band, the contact changes position by itself. It is designed for control, not as a safety cut-out — if high pressure safety is required, use a separate manual reset pressure switch.
• 🔧 The SPST(NC) contact is closed while the pressure is below the lower limit. Keep this in mind when wiring the fan circuit.
• Installation: the 1/4" flare female connection screws directly onto the line. The depressor releases pressure in a controlled way during removal — still, do not remove it without isolating the circuit and releasing the pressure.
