Danfoss 061F9053 ACB-2UC55W Cartridge Pressure Switch – 24/31 bar, Automatic Reset, SPDT

Danfoss 061F9053 (type ACB-2UC55W) is a cartridge-type pressure switch fitted on the high pressure side of a refrigeration circuit. It switches in at 31 bar and out at 24 bar; it has automatic reset and an SPDT contact.

Keeps Condensing Pressure Within a Band — Cartridge Body, No Separate Panel Space Required

As the weather gets colder, the condenser cools more than necessary; the condensing pressure drops, the expansion valve cannot find sufficient differential pressure and the evaporator cannot be fed. The result: loss of capacity, continuous running and liquid floodback. In summer the opposite happens — because of a dirty condenser or a stopped fan, the pressure climbs and the compressor draws excessive current.

This switch keeps the condensing pressure in the 24 - 31 bar band: when the pressure exceeds 31 bar the contact changes position (the fan runs), and when it drops to 24 bar it returns. The 7 bar differential is wide enough to prevent the fan from constantly switching on and off (short cycling).

The cartridge-type body is much smaller than classic pressure switches and screws directly onto the line — it requires no separate panel space, capillary tube or clamp.

SPDT Contact — The Distinguishing Feature of This Model

The contact is SPDT (single pole, double throw): the cable has three wires — black, blue and red. This means that with the same switch you can open one circuit while closing another; for example, while running the fan you can simultaneously drive an alarm or a second-stage contact.

The ACB-2UB465W in our catalog, on the other hand, is SPST(NC) — single throw, it only breaks the circuit. If your application requires changeover, choose this model.
