Cubigel NPT16RA Hermetic Compressor – 2/3 HP, R290, HBP 2,310 W

Cubigel NPT16RA is a 2/3 HP hermetic reciprocating compressor made for commercial refrigeration appliances operating at positive temperatures, such as multi-door beverage coolers, display cases and large-volume bottle coolers. It runs on R290 (propane); with a displacement of 16.1 cm³ it delivers a cooling capacity of 2,310 W (7,882 BTU/h) at ASHRAE HBP conditions.

Built on the P series body, the NPT16RA can be used in capillary tube and expansion valve systems with its fan-cooled design and CSR (start and run capacitor) motor. At HBP ASHRAE conditions it produces high capacity efficiently with COP 2.55. Propane has a GWP of 3; it is a suitable option for low-charge systems that are not affected by F-Gas restrictions.

• 🔥 R290 is a flammable refrigerant (class A3). Brazing, leak testing and charging must be carried out according to the rules for flammable refrigerants: a ventilated area, no ignition sources and compliance with charge limits are essential. This compressor is for R290 systems only.
• ⚡ Supply voltage: The lower limit of the operating range is 198 V; in areas with voltage drops, the use of a voltage regulator is recommended.
• 🔧 When replacing: with the CSR connection, the start and run capacitors are used together; compare the refrigerant, HBP class and mounting hole spacing of the old compressor with the dimension drawing.
• Application limit: This model is HBP — it is for positive-temperature coolers. It is not used in freezer (LBP) applications.
