Installation Warnings and Technician Tips in the Field

• When removing the old filling tap from its seat (after removing the circlip), check that no scale or burrs remain inside. The O-rings of a new tap fitted without cleaning the seat can be damaged and leak water.
• When pushing the new tap into the hydraulic block, applying a very light coat of silicone grease to the black seals (O-rings) lets the part slide into its seat and prevents the seal from being pinched.
• On push-fit (Quick Connection) models, always make sure the retaining circlip (U-clip) is fully seated after pushing the tap into place. Carry out the first test in a controlled way so the clip does not pop out while filling the system.
