This is the Value VRF1028 Rapid-Y adapter with a one-piece solid brass body, designed to shorten evacuation and refrigerant recovery times in air conditioning and refrigeration systems. Thanks to its large internal passage, it connects two lines (low and high pressure) to a single vacuum pump or recovery unit inlet at the same time; this eliminates the flow restriction of conventional tee/manifold connections and speeds up the process noticeably.

Why Rapid-Y instead of a conventional tee/manifold?

• Full benefit of the vacuum/recovery speed is obtained when used together with 3/8" hoses (e.g. Value VHB series Big Boy evacuation hoses) and Schrader valve core removal tools (VCR1).
• Connect the two 3/8" male ends to the low and high pressure lines of the system and the single 3/8" female end to the vacuum pump / recovery unit inlet.
