Danfoss KP 62 Thermostat (060L110666) – −30 / +15 °C, SPDT, Automatic Reset, Ø40 mm Air Coil Sensor
- Stock: In Stock
- Brand: Danfoss
- Model: 19.10.090
The Danfoss KP 62 (code 060L110666) is a thermostat that switches according to air temperature in refrigeration and air conditioning installations. Its setting range is −30 … +15 °C; when the set temperature is exceeded or undershot, the contact changes over to switch the compressor, fan or heater on/off.
Control by Air Temperature: Sensor Attached to the Housing, No Capillary Tube
This model’s sensor is a type C1 Ø40 × 30 mm air coil and is attached directly to the bottom of the housing — it has no remote sensor or capillary tube. In other words, the device measures the air temperature where it is mounted. It is used by mounting directly inside a cold room, on a display cabinet body or at an air duct outlet.
If you need to measure a remote point (such as the evaporator outlet or product temperature), KP 61 models with capillary tube should be preferred; the KP 62 is not suitable for this job.

- 🔧 The mounting location determines the measurement. Since the sensor is attached to the housing, the thermostat must be mounted where the air you want to measure is located. Above a door, near a heat source or in a dead-air zone gives false readings.
- Choose the differential to suit the job: A narrow differential (1.5-7 K) keeps the temperature steady but cycles the compressor often; a wide differential reduces the number of starts but increases temperature swing.
- ⚠️ SPDT contact: Can be used for both cooling (switch on when temperature rises) and heating (switch on when temperature falls) — wire according to the terminal diagram.
- IP30 is for indoor use; in wet/washed-down areas, place it inside an enclosure or use a model with higher protection.
- Do not cover the sensor coil — if air circulation is blocked, the thermostat responds with a delay.
