Testo 550s Smart Digital Manifold Set – 2-Way, Bluetooth, 2 Wireless Clamp Thermometers (Testo 115i), −1…60 bar (0564 5502)

Testo 550s Smart Set (product code 0564 5502) is a commissioning, service and maintenance kit for air conditioning, refrigeration systems and heat pumps: a digital manifold set. The set includes the Bluetooth 2-way Testo 550s digital manifold, the 2 Testo 115i clamp thermometers that measure pipe temperature wirelessly, and a sturdy carrying case. The manifold measures high and low pressure in the −1 … 60 bar range; using the temperature from the clamps, it automatically calculates the superheat and subcooling values and shows them at a glance on the large graphic display.

Large-Display Digital Manifold and Wireless Clamps Together

The Testo 550s has more than 60 refrigerants stored in its memory (including R32, R410A, R290, R454B, R1234yf, R744); the list is updated automatically via the Testo Smart App, and the device is compatible with A2L and A3 class refrigerants. The measurement menus guide you step by step: tightness test with pressure curve recording, temperature-compensated tightness test, target superheat calculation and vacuum monitoring with start/difference value display are performed on the device. The analog-style pressure display offers handling close to the familiar gauge manifold.

The Testo 115i clamps fit Ø6–35 mm pipes and connect automatically to the manifold via Bluetooth; temperatures on the evaporator and condenser lines are read simultaneously without cable clutter. With the Testo 552i wireless vacuum probe, which can be added to the set, hoseless vacuum measurement is also shown on the manifold display. The measurement report is created in the Testo Smart App with photos and notes and sent by e-mail. IP54 protection, a hanging hook and a magnetic strap attachment make it suitable for field conditions.

Technician Tips

• Select the refrigerant first: evaporation and condensation temperatures and the superheat/subcooling calculation are based on the selected refrigerant; do not interpret the results without selecting the refrigerant on the system label.
• Fit the clamp on a clean, uninsulated pipe: for superheat fit the clamp on the suction line, for subcooling on the liquid line, close to the service valve where pressure is taken; paint, rust and insulation distort the measurement.
• Take temperature into account in the tightness test: if the ambient temperature changes during a long nitrogen test, the pressure also changes; use the device's temperature-compensated test.
• Use an adapter on 5/16 inch valves: the manifold connections are 7/16 inch UNF; a suitable adapter is required for the 5/16 inch service valves on R410A and R32 split air conditioners.
• Store with the valves closed: after work, safely drain the refrigerant from the manifold, close the valves and carry it in its case; a clogged or contaminated valve affects the measurement.
