Testo 549i Wireless Smart Pressure Probe (Digital Manometer) – Bluetooth, −1…60 bar, Hoseless Measurement (0560 2549 02)

Testo 549i (product code 0560 2549 02), which measures the high and low pressure in air conditioning and refrigeration systems, is a wireless pressure probe (digital manometer) that connects to a smartphone via Bluetooth. It is fitted directly onto the service valve; since no hoses are needed for measurement, refrigerant loss is avoided or minimized. −1 … +60 bar measuring range, 0.01 bar resolution and up to 100 meters of Bluetooth range make it suitable for service, troubleshooting and commissioning.

Hoseless, Wireless Pressure Measurement

The Testo 549i is quickly attached by hand to the 7/16 inch UNF service connection. Values are monitored live in the free Testo Smart App app; the app automatically calculates the evaporation and condensation temperatures according to the selected refrigerant. Measurements are shown as a graph or table, and the report is sent by e-mail directly as a PDF or Excel file.

With two Testo 549i probes, both the high and low pressure sides are monitored simultaneously. When used together with the Testo 115i clamp thermometer, which measures pipe temperature, the app also calculates the superheat and subcooling values. With pressure connections far apart, the technician follows all values on one screen without walking back and forth between the indoor and outdoor units.

Technician Tips

• Open the app before fitting: switch on the probe and pair it in the Testo Smart App, then fit it on the valve; the pressure change at the moment of connection appears in your record.
• Select the refrigerant correctly: evaporation and condensation temperatures are calculated according to the selected refrigerant; do not interpret the values without selecting the refrigerant on the system label, such as R32, R410A or R290, in the app.
• Use an adapter on 5/16 inch valves: the probe has a 7/16 inch UNF thread; a suitable adapter is required for the 5/16 inch service valves on R410A and R32 split air conditioners.
• Pair with a clamp for superheat: for superheat and subcooling calculation, use the pressure probe together with a clamp thermometer fitted on the pipe of the same line.
• Mind the pressure when removing: when removing the probe on the high pressure side, make sure the valve is closed; wear gloves and goggles.
