Sporlan ERZE/BBIZE-15-GA Thermostatic Expansion Valve – 50.8 kW / 15 Ton, R410A

Sporlan ERZE/BBIZE-15-GA is an externally equalized thermostatic expansion valve (TXV) for R410A refrigerant. With a nominal capacity of 50.8 kW (≈15 tons), it regulates the liquid feed to the evaporator according to the suction line superheat. It has a GA thermostatic charge, and thanks to its external equalizer connection it opens correctly even on evaporators with a high pressure drop.

Naming note: In Parker's current catalogs this valve is sold under the code BBIZE-15-GA; the old Sporlan designation is ERZE-15-GA. Both codes identify the same product — either one may be printed on the box.

Sporlan TXV: The Reference Valve in the Field

• 50.8 kW nominal capacity — verify the selection against the Sporlan capacity table for your evaporating/condensing conditions.
• Externally equalized: The design required on evaporators with a distributor and long coils.
• Replaceable power element: On Sporlan bodies the thermostatic head can be renewed separately; the charge is changed without removing the body.

• 🔧 Attach the sensing bulb to the suction line at the 3-4 o'clock position firmly and insulate it; a loose bulb makes the valve overfeed.
• Take the external equalizer line 15-20 cm downstream of the bulb, from the top of the suction line.
• Cool the body with a wet cloth during brazing — heat damages the power element charge.
• Do not move the superheat setting far from the factory value; if operation is unstable, first check the refrigerant charge and the bulb contact.
