Sanhua DTG-A05020-901 Filter Drier – 1/4" ODF Solder, 5 inch³, 48.3 bar

Sanhua DTG-A05020-901 is a 1/4" ODF solder filter drier installed in the liquid line. With its solid-core 5 inch³ (82 cm³) shell, it retains moisture, acid and solid contaminants in the system.

Liquid Line Filter Drier That Protects the Compressor from Moisture and Dirt — Brazed, Gasket-Free

Moisture remaining in the circuit combines with the refrigerant and oil to produce acid; the acid first destroys the winding insulation and then the compressor. Moisture also freezes and blocks the line at the outlet of the expansion valve or capillary tube. The filter drier eliminates both risks at once.

The shell and connections are brazed; there is no gasket or flare nut open to the outside. This is its clearest advantage over flare-type filter driers, which loosen and leak over time.

• 🔥 Can be used with A2L and A3 refrigerants. Sanhua's installation instructions rate the solder version as suitable for ASHRAE 34 classes A2L and A3 (R32, R454B, R290, R1234yf). Flare versions do not have this approval.
• ⚠️ Brazing warning: Sanhua requires that the filter drier shell is not overheated — wrap the shell in a wet cloth and use a suitable brazing alloy (SilFos 15 type). Excessive heat damages the core.
• ⚠️ Arrow direction is essential: the FLOW arrow must point from the condenser toward the expansion valve. A filter drier installed backwards releases the dirt it has trapped back into the system.
• Location: in the liquid line, before the sight glass and the expansion valve. After a compressor burnout, the filter drier must always be replaced.
• Other connections for the same shell: 1/2" (code 04) · 5/8" (05). For a smaller line, the 3 inch³ shell (DTG-A030xx) is selected.
