Sanhua DTG-A03030-901 Filter Drier – 3/8" ODF Brazed, 3 inch³, 48.3 bar

The Sanhua DTG-A03030-901 is a 3/8" ODF brazed filter drier fitted in the liquid line. With its solid-core 3 inch³ (49 cm³) body, it holds moisture, acid and solid dirt in the system.

Liquid Line Filter Drier That Protects the Compressor from Moisture and Dirt — Brazed, No Gaskets

Moisture remaining in the circuit combines with refrigerant and oil to form acid; the acid first destroys the winding insulation and then the compressor. Moisture also freezes at the outlet of the expansion valve or capillary tube and blocks the line. The filter drier cuts out both risks.

The body and connections are brazed; there are no external gaskets or flare fittings. This is its most distinct advantage over flare-type driers, which loosen and leak over time.

Which system is 3 inch³ for? This body is the smallest size in the series — it is chosen for small commercial coolers, refrigerators/display cabinets, split air conditioners and low-capacity units. For higher-capacity lines, the 5 inch³ body with the same connection is preferred.

• 🔥 Can be used with A2L and A3 refrigerants. Sanhua’s installation instructions consider the brazed version suitable for ASHRAE 34 classes A2L and A3 (R32, R454B, R290, R1234yf). Flare versions do not have this approval.
• ⚠️ Brazing warning: wrap the body in a wet cloth and use a suitable alloy (SilFos 15 type). Excessive heat permanently damages the core; Sanhua requires that the body temperature not exceed 120 °C.
• ⚠️ Arrow direction is essential: the FLOW arrow must point from the condenser toward the expansion valve. A filter drier fitted in reverse releases the dirt it has held back into the system.
• Installation location: in the liquid line, before the sight glass and expansion valve. After a compressor burnout, the filter drier must always be replaced.
• Other connections for the same body: 1/4" (code 02). For a larger line, the 5 inch³ body: DTG-A05030-901 (3/8") and DTG-A05020-901 (1/4").
