Resideo (Honeywell) TMX-00047 Thermostatic Power Element – R-227 Liquid Charge, +40/−10 °C | For TMX Series TXV

Resideo (Honeywell) TMX-00047 is the upper body of the TMX series thermostatic expansion valves with interchangeable orifice (thermostatic power element). While the valve body stays brazed in the line, the charge type is determined by this upper body; in the event of a fault or a change of application, only the upper body is replaced without removing the valve body.

R-227 Liquid Charge: For High Evaporating Temperatures

According to the official Honeywell TMX catalog, this R-227 liquid-charged element operates in the +40 °C to −10 °C evaporating range — it is the charge for process cooling, high-temperature air conditioning and heat pump applications. The liquid charge does not lose control even when the sensing bulb stays colder than the valve body (no risk of charge migration).

• 🔧 When replacing the upper body check that the orifice cartridge suits the application refrigerant and capacity — the orifice determines the capacity, the upper body the charge.
