MB Flex MB02 Heating System Leak Repair Chemical 1 kg – Leak Sealer for Combi Boiler and Underfloor Heating Systems

MB Flex MB02 Leak Sealer is a leak-sealing system chemical used to seal hairline cracks and leaks in combi boiler and central heating systems from the inside, without breaking or dismantling pipes. It was developed to eliminate the cost and time loss of breaking walls or removing parquet or tiles to find the location of a leak.

According to the manufacturer's data, its formula is resistant to high temperatures; therefore it is also used in heating lines with circulating hot water. Applications: in-apartment combi boiler pipework, PPRC, PEX and galvanized pipe systems, fan coil hot-cold water lines and underfloor heating pipework. According to the manufacturer, it leaves no residue inside the pipe.

How Is It Applied?

1. The problem pipe line is identified with a test pump.
2. With water in the system, all valves and taps are closed.
3. The test pump is connected at the inlet closest to the area where a leak or dampness is seen.
4. The product is diluted with water at a ratio of at most 1/1 and pumped into the system at 8–12 bar pressure. Product continues to be fed as long as the pressure keeps dropping.
5. When the pressure drop stops, the intermediate tap is closed; the product is left in the system under pressure for 24 hours. Valves and taps are not opened during this time.
6. After 24 hours, the test pump is removed and washed with clean water. On the clean water line, the tap filters are removed, water is run for 2–3 minutes and the filters are refitted; the heating system is brought to normal operating pressure and put into service.

Before Application

• The 8–12 bar test pressure is above the opening pressure of the boiler's safety relief valve. In a system with a combi boiler, the boiler must be isolated from the line by closing the appliance's system valves before application.
• The product must not be spilled on tiled surfaces; if spilled, it must be cleaned immediately with clean water.
