This LG washing machine double water inlet valve is a water valve with LG part number 5220FR2067J, 12 V DC coils and two outlets; it is also searched under the old part number 5220FR1251G. Mains water enters through the 3/4" inlet with a strainer; each of the two coils opens its own outlet and sends water to a different compartment of the detergent drawer. In the trade it is also called a double valve or a solenoid water valve.
Where Is It Used?
- In LG washing machines whose valve label reads 5220FR2067J or 5220FR1251G.
- Some of the LG models for which spare parts catalogues list this valve: WD1207NCW, WD1275ND, WD1275TC5W, FC1007S5L, F4W8BYPKQH2, F4W8BYPKUH, WWT-1209B, WWT-1210WX.
- If the machine does not take in water, one of the detergent compartments gets no water, or water leaks while the machine is off, the valve should be checked.
When Replacing
- Compare the part number and voltage on the old valve's label: it must read DC 12V. This valve cannot be fitted to machines that use a 220 V or 24 V valve.
- The valve is screwed to the machine body by its bracket; note the position of the bracket before removing it.
- Before removing it, mark which hose goes to which outlet and which wire goes to which coil; connect the new valve in the same order.
- Close the tap and unplug the machine before removing or fitting it.

Frequently Asked Questions
Are 5220FR2067J and 5220FR1251G the same part?
LG spare parts lists give 5220FR2067J together with 5220FR1251G; it is also used to replace a valve labelled 5220FR1251G.
Can a 220 V valve be fitted instead of a 12 V DC valve?
No. The machine's control board supplies 12 V DC to the valve; a valve with 220 V coils will not open at this voltage. The reverse also applies: a 12 V DC valve connected to 220 V will burn out its coil.
What does 180° mean?
It means the outlets point in line with the inlet, in the opposite direction. On 90° models the outlets leave at a right angle to the inlet.
