Embraco EMY 6170 Z Refrigerator Compressor – R134a, L/MBP, 1/4 HP, 7.7 cm³, 220-240 V

Embraco EMY 6170 Z is a hermetic reciprocating compressor running on R134a refrigerant. It operates in the L/MBP (low–medium back pressure) range and is used in refrigerators, display cabinets, bottle coolers and commercial cooler cabinets.

• ⚙️ The HP value is the motor class, not the capacity. Actual cooling capacity changes with evaporating/condensing temperature; size the compressor by the cabinet heat load and the operating range.
• 🔧 Do not use any refrigerant other than R134a — the oil and the winding insulation are selected for this refrigerant.
• POE oil absorbs moisture: do not leave the circuit open, evacuate before start-up and always replace the filter drier.
• The start relay and the overload protector must match the compressor; a wrong relay causes starting failure and winding burn-out.
