Danfoss DML 164FS Filter Drier (023Z024691), 16 cu.in., 1/2" Face Seal Connection

Danfoss DML 164FS (code 023Z024691) is a hermetic filter drier fitted in the liquid line of the refrigeration circuit. By trapping moisture, acid and solid particles in the circuit, it protects the expansion valve, compressor and oil.

Connection Type Face Seal (FS) — Do Not Confuse with the Standard Flare Model

⚠️ This model has a Face Seal (FS) connection — in Danfoss' own product data this product is listed as "Face Seal, 1/2 in", while the standard DML 164 is listed as "Flare". The two connections are not interchangeable.

Check before ordering: if your line is flare type, use the DML 164, if it is solder type, use the DML 164s model. This product is only for installations with Face Seal connections.

• 🔧 Observe the flow direction. The arrow on the body shows the flow direction in the liquid line; a drier fitted in reverse does not filter.
• Always replace after a compressor burnout. The acid formed in a burnt-out circuit is trapped by the drier; if the old drier is left in place, the new compressor will also be damaged.
• ⚠️ The drier must not be left standing after its packaging is opened — the molecular sieve quickly absorbs moisture from the air. Open it immediately before fitting.
• Increased pressure drop is a sign of clogging: If there is a noticeable temperature difference or sweating between the drier inlet and outlet, the filter is saturated; replace it.
