- Stock: In Stock
- Brand: Cubigel
- Model: NUF80NA
Cubigel NUF80NA is a 1/4 HP hermetic reciprocating compressor manufactured for commercial refrigeration appliances such as chest freezers, ice cream display cabinets and low-temperature cooler cabinets. It operates with R290 (propane); with a displacement of 8.1 cm³ it delivers a cooling capacity of 397 W (1,355 BTU/h) under ASHRAE LMBP conditions. It is the largest-displacement model of the NUF series and is used in larger freezer cabinets where the NUF70NA is not sufficient.
R290 Propane LMBP Compressor: Wide Operating Range for Freezers and Cooler Cabinets
The NUF80NA belongs to the LMBP (low-medium back pressure) class and can operate at evaporating temperatures between −40 °C and 0 °C; the same compressor can be used in both freezer and low-temperature cooler applications. Its RSCR (run capacitor) motor draws low current and runs efficiently with COP 1.84 under ASHRAE LMBP conditions. The fan-cooled body is designed for capillary tube systems. Propane has a GWP of 3; it is a suitable option for low-charge systems not affected by F-Gas restrictions.

Electrical Equipment (Manufacturer References)
- Run capacitor: 6 µF
- Relay: QPE2-A15MD3 (PTC)
- Overload protector: DRB261R61A2 or BT73-130
- 🔥 R290 is a flammable refrigerant (class A3). Brazing, leak testing and charging must follow the rules for flammable refrigerants: a ventilated area, no ignition sources and compliance with charge limits are mandatory. This compressor is for R290 systems only.
- 🔧 When replacing: In the RSCR connection the run capacitor and the PTC relay are used together; compare the refrigerant, application class and mounting hole spacing of the old compressor with the dimensional drawing. Body and mounting dimensions are the same as the NUF70NA.
- Application limit: This model is LMBP and is intended for capillary tube systems — it is not used in water dispenser and air conditioning type (HBP) applications where the evaporating temperature rises above 0 °C.
