CEME CM-6811TE30DCDF Solenoid Valve – 3/8" ODF Solder, Normally Closed, Kv 0.230, MOPD 25 bar

CEME CM-6811TE30DCDF is a 2-way normally closed (NC) solenoid valve that opens and closes the liquid line electrically in refrigeration and air conditioning circuits. It has 3/8" ODF solder connections, an orifice diameter of Ø3.0 mm and a Kv value of 0.230 m³/h. The coil and connector are included with the product.

Opens and Closes the Liquid Line Electrically — Prevents Migration While the Compressor Is Off

The main task of a solenoid valve in the liquid line is to make a pump-down arrangement possible. When the thermostat reaches the set temperature, the valve closes, the compressor pumps the refrigerant out of the evaporator and stops on the low pressure switch. As a result, no liquid migrates into the evaporator during standstill; no liquid reaches the compressor at start-up, and the risk of leaks and oil dilution in the crankcase is reduced.

Normally closed (NC) means that the valve stays closed when the coil is de-energized. If the power fails, the line closes automatically — it is fail-safe. The body is brass and the internals are stainless steel; with a PTFE seal it operates down to −45 °C.

The valve body, coil, 3-pole connector and water/moisture protection kit come together. The mounting bracket is optional.

• 🔧 Flow direction is essential: The arrow on the body shows the flow direction. A solenoid valve fitted the wrong way round either does not open at all or does not close — check the arrow before installation.
• 🔧 Mounting position: Fit the valve on a horizontal tube with the coil facing upward. If the coil faces downward, the plunger does not seat by gravity and the valve malfunctions.
• ⚠️ Brazing warning: When brazing, always remove the coil and wrap the body in a wet cloth. The coil winding and internal seals are permanently damaged by excessive heat.
• ⚠️ Do not exceed the MOPD limit: For the valve to open, the pressure differential between inlet and outlet must be below 25 bar. At a higher pressure differential, the valve will not open even if the coil is energized.
• Installation location: In the liquid line, after the filter drier and before the expansion valve. If a sight glass is fitted ahead of it, you can see when the flow is shut off.
• The coil is continuously energized and feels hot to the touch; this is normal. With insulation class H, it withstands high winding temperatures.
