Canflex 1/4 inch Hydraulic Hose 3 Meters – EN 853 1SN / SAE 100 R1AT, 225 Bar, Fittings on Both Ends

Canflex 1/4 inch hydraulic hose is a 3-meter ready-made connection hose with female swivel fittings on both ends. It is manufactured to the EN 853 1SN standard (equivalent to SAE 100 R1AT); with its single steel wire braid reinforcement, it withstands a working pressure of 225 bar.

Replacement Hose for Nitrogen Cylinder and Regulator Sets

In the refrigeration and air conditioning field, this hose is used as the connection hose from the cylinder to the circuit in nitrogen cylinder + regulator sets. It forms the flexible part of the line in leak testing and nitrogen purge operations.

Why a hydraulic hose? At the nitrogen cylinder outlet, the pressure before the regulator is in the order of 150–200 bar; even after the regulator, test pressures push the limits of AC refrigerant hoses. Standard HVAC charging hoses usually have a working pressure of around 55 bar — not enough for a nitrogen line. With 225 bar working / 900 bar burst ratings, this hose operates on the safe side.

The fittings are of the swivel type. The nut turns freely without twisting the hose; when the connection is tightened, the hose does not rotate about its own axis, which does not strain the braid and extends service life.

• 🔧 Observe the bend limit. Do not bend the hose to a radius tighter than 100 mm; a sharp bend at the base of the fitting breaks the braid, and this is where leaks most often start.
• 🔧 Do not twist the hose while tightening. Hold the hose body steady while tightening the nut with a wrench — a twisted hose has a significantly shorter life.
• ⚠️ Do not disconnect under pressure. When work on the nitrogen line is finished, first close the regulator, vent the line, then loosen the fitting.
• Inspection: If the outer cover shows cracks, blisters or wear exposing the steel braid, the hose is replaced — not patched.
• Storage: Store loosely coiled, away from direct sunlight and ozone sources (electric motors, welding machines).
