Baymak Luna Avant / Baxi Luna 3 Combi Boiler Condensate Trap – JJJ005682830 Equivalent

The Baymak Luna Avant / Baxi Luna 3 condensate trap is the part that collects the condensate forming in the heat exchanger and flue line of a condensing combi boiler and drains it to the waste line. It always holds some water inside; this water seal prevents flue gas from passing from the drain line into the room. The product is an equivalent of the Baymak / Baxi trap with original part number JJJ005682830 (5682830, alternative code 5111978).

Thanks to its transparent body, deposits and blockages inside can be seen from the outside. The body has two threaded connection ports.

• A smell of flue gas in the room when the trap dries out or cracks

Installation Notes

• Switch off the power to the boiler; place a container under the trap before removing it.

• Fill the trap with water before first start-up. An empty trap can allow flue gas to pass into the drain line until the boiler produces condensate.
