The Value VRF1029 Rapid-Y adapter is a one-piece solid brass adapter designed to shorten evacuation and refrigerant recovery times in air conditioning and refrigeration systems. Thanks to its large internal bore, it connects two lines (low and high pressure) to a single vacuum pump or recovery unit inlet at the same time; its 1/4" female outlet fits devices with a 1/4" port, the most common inlet size in the field, without an extra adapter, and by eliminating the flow restriction of conventional tee/manifold connections it speeds up the process noticeably.

Why Rapid-Y instead of a conventional tee/manifold?

• Conventional manifold and tee connections have narrow passages, are not designed for deep vacuum and contain many potential leak points. Rapid-Y solves these problems in a single product: it simplifies the job, increases transfer speed and reduces working time.

Technician Tips

• When used together with 3/8" hoses (e.g. Value VHB series Big Boy evacuation hoses) and Schrader valve core removal tools (VCR1), you get the full benefit of the evacuation/recovery speed.
• Connect the hoses from the low and high pressure lines of the system to the two 3/8" male ends; connect the 1/4" female end to the inlet of the vacuum pump or recovery unit.
