Value VBT-3S Polyethylene Copper Tube Bending Rod Set (4 Pcs)

A professional internal bending solution designed to eliminate crushing, kinking and cross-section narrowing of copper tubes during air conditioner, MiniSplit and VRF system installations in the field. Value VBT-3S is made of flexible polyethylene (PE) and is a great help for technicians, especially for bending insulated copper tubes without damaging the insulation.

In the field, this job is also known as pipe bending.

Set Contents and Diameter Compatibility

• Red Rod (Diameter: 4mm): Fully compatible with 1/4" (6mm) copper tubes.
• Green Rod (Diameter: 7mm): Fully compatible with 3/8" (10mm) copper tubes.
• Yellow Rod (Diameter: 9mm): Fully compatible with 1/2" (12mm) copper tubes.
• Blue Rod (Diameter: 12mm): Fully compatible with 5/8" (16mm) copper tubes.

Installation Instructions and Technician Tips

• After cutting the tube, always remove the burrs at the end with a reamer; this prevents wear on the polyethylene rod and keeps it slippery.
• Insert the bending rod that matches the diameter into the tube up to the bending point. For a safe bend, make sure the rod extends at least 30 cm (12 inches) inside the tube.
• Slowly bend your insulated tube to the desired angle.
• When finished, slowly pull the rod back out.
• Important Note: If you are going to make a second bend in a row on the same tube, make sure you pull the rod back at least 30 cm from the first bending point so that the material does not jam.
