Sanhua SBV04-319T Ball Valve with Service Port – 1/2" ODF Solder, Kv 7.3, 49 bar

Sanhua SBV04-319T is a ball valve with service port and 1/2" ODF solder connections used in refrigeration and air conditioning lines. Its full-bore body does not restrict the line, it opens and closes fully with a 1/4 turn and operates bi-directionally.

Full-Bore Ball Valve with Service Port — Shut Off the Line, Evacuate Through the Same Valve

During service, compressor replacement or filter drier renewal, part of the line needs to be isolated. The SBV04-319T does this in one movement: turn the handle 90° and the line is closed. Thanks to the service port (access fitting) on the body, you can measure pressure, evacuate and charge refrigerant from the closed side — without having to braze on a separate charging fitting.

The body and ball seat are welded; there is no externally exposed seal or packing. This is its most notable advantage over threaded/gasketed valves that loosen and leak over the years.

• 🔑 Reading the code: SBV02-319T → codes starting with 3 have a service port (access fitting / charging fitting on the body). Those starting with 0 (-019T) have no service port. The final 19 indicates inch connections, 20 indicates metric mm connections.
• What the service port is for: while the valve is closed, it lets you measure pressure, evacuate or charge refrigerant on that side of the line. It eliminates the hassle of brazing on a separate charging fitting when replacing a compressor or filter drier.
• ⚠️ Brazing warning: When brazing the ODF ends, leave the valve in the fully open position and cool the body with a wet cloth / heat paste. Excessive heat permanently damages the ball seat.
• Wrench size 19 mm — the same for all three sizes; a single wrench is enough in the field.
• Cap: the cap on the stem must remain fitted during operation; it serves as a secondary seal.
