Sanhua DTG-30036-163S Filter Drier 3/8" (Solder)

Sanhua DTG-30036-163S filter drier is a uni-directional drier with 3/8" solder (ODF) connections that removes moisture, acid and solid particles from the refrigerant in refrigeration and air conditioning circuits. With its steel shell and copper solder ends it is used both in new installations and in service and repair work.

3/8" Solder Filter Drier That Holds Moisture and Acid in the Liquid Line

Moisture and acid in the circulating refrigerant cause ice blockage in the capillary tube and expansion valve, and oil breakdown and winding failures in the compressor. The DTG series drier holds moisture and acid with the desiccant core inside the shell, while the filter element stops solid particles such as chips and dirt. The FLOW arrow on the shell shows the flow direction; the drier must be installed accordingly.

• Code reading: the 163S code follows the common industry drier coding: 16 = shell (desiccant volume) class, 3 = 3/8" connection, S = solder. The flare version of the same shell is DTG-30009-163; the 1/2" solder version is DTG-30037-164S.
• Installation: replace the drier every time the circuit is opened. Cool the shell with a wet cloth while brazing and keep the end caps on until installation.
