Analog water pressure sensor (transducer) from the Huba Control Type 505 family, code 505.91572. It continuously measures the water pressure in the combi boiler's heating circuit and reports it to the PCB as a ratiometric voltage signal.

The distinguishing features of this variant: 0…4 bar measuring range, ratiometric 10…50% output, 5 V (4.75…5.25 V) supply and threaded G3/8 port.

🚨 5 V Supply — Do Not Confuse with the 24 V Variant

Huba manufactures the same 0…4 bar sensor with different supply and port options. This product operates on 5 V and its output is ratiometric: the output voltage scales with the supply voltage, it is not fixed.

CodeSupplyOutputPort
505.91572 ← this product5 V (4.75…5.25 V)ratiometric 10…50%threaded G3/8
505.9159024 V (8.5…30 V)0.5…3.5 V fixedpush-fit, O-ring

The two variants are interchangeable neither mechanically nor electrically. If the 5 V sensor is fitted to a 24 V circuit, it will be damaged. Before ordering, compare the IN: line on the body of the removed part and the port type (threaded or push-fit).

What Does Ratiometric Output Mean?

In a ratiometric sensor, the output is a percentage of the supply voltage. In this product the 10…50% range is used; that is, at a nominal 5 V supply the output moves between 0.5…2.5 V:

System pressureSupply percentageOutput at 5.00 V supply
0 bar10%0.50 V
1.0 bar20%1.00 V
1.5 bar (normal operation)25%1.25 V
2.0 bar30%1.50 V
4.0 bar50%2.50 V

🪤 When measuring, measure the supply first: if the supply is 4.80 V, the output drops in the same proportion. Evaluating the output on its own is misleading with a ratiometric sensor — it is always read together with the supply.

🪤 This sensor is not tested by ohm (resistance) measurement — it is not an NTC, it has integrated electronics inside.

Fault Symptoms

The typical picture: the pressure gauge shows normal pressure, there is water in the system, no leak — but the combi boiler gives a low water pressure error. Topping up with water and resetting do not help.

  • The combi boiler locks out with a water pressure error while the pressure is actually normal.
  • The displayed pressure reads far below or above the actual value.
  • If the sensor port is blocked with sediment or limescale, the sensor reads low even though it is sound — when removed, clean the port and the thread seat.

🪤 Note for Ferroli appliances: Ferroli's Divatop series does not use this sensor but Huba 505.91512 (Ferroli code 39818770). Before ordering for your Ferroli appliance, compare the code, the IN value and the port type on the body of the removed sensor with this product.
