Practical Usage Note for Technicians in the Field

Technician’s Note: If you usually see F1 (room sensor fault) or F2 (pipe sensor fault) codes on the unit, before replacing the sensor, measure with a multimeter whether the probes read 15K and 20K at around 25°C. If there is no reading or there is a short circuit, the sensor has failed. When fitting the new sensor, the latched red socket seats easily in its housing in one direction only. Take care to push the copper sleeve sensor fully and firmly into the pipe pocket on the evaporator, and to fix the black room sensor in its plastic clip so that it does not touch the coil (metal fins). Otherwise the unit will think the room has cooled/heated too early and will stop the compressor prematurely.
