Embraco EMY 3109 Z is a hermetic reciprocating compressor operating with R134a. It operates in the L/MBP (low–medium back pressure) range; it is used in small freezers, bottle coolers, mini display cabinets and low-capacity refrigerated cabinets.

This arrangement is for capillary tube systems: because the circuit pressures equalize during the off cycle, the compressor starts with low starting torque. The locked rotor current (LRA) is only 3.8 A; an advantage on weak mains and in small panels.

• ⚙️ The HP value is the motor class, not the capacity. Base your selection on the cabinet heat load and the target evaporating temperature.
• 🔧 It is for capillary tube circuits. If an RSIR-start compressor is forced to restart before the pressures equalize, it cannot start and the overload trips.
• POE oil absorbs moisture: Do not leave the circuit open, evacuate before installation and always renew the filter drier.
• When the PTC starter is hot, wait 3-5 minutes before restarting; do not attempt repeated starts.
