Country of Manufacture: Italy. Elke Poe 32 is a high-quality oil specially developed for your refrigeration compressors, supplied in a 1-liter pack. This product is clear and pale yellow at 20 °C in liquid form and has a pour point below -45 °C that reduces the risk of freezing.

Features

• Flash Point: per the COC - ASTM D 92 standard, 235 °C.
• Density: at 20 °C, approximately 960 kg/m³.
• Water Solubility: Hygroscopic; it has a moisture-absorbing structure.
• Acid Value: Below 0.1 mg KOH/g; a high-purity product.
• Biodegradability: according to the OECD 301B test, more than 60%, making it environmentally friendly.
• Dielectric Strength: per IEC 60156 @ 24 °C, >75 kV, ensuring electrical safety.
• Kinematic Viscosity: 28-36 cSt at 40 °C and 5.8-6.0 cSt at 100 °C, offering excellent fluidity.
• ASHRAE 97 Thermal Stability: A clean, deposit-free result was obtained in the 175 °C, 336-hour test.

Test Results

Elke Poe 32 has shown superior performance under demanding test conditions; water content and acidity (TAN) values remained extremely low, and the viscosity change showed stability below 3%. In addition, in the metal content test no metal mobilization was observed, which shows that the product is effective in preventing metal wear.

Compatible Refrigerants and Applications

• Compatible refrigerants: Compatible with R134a, R404A, R407C, R410A, R32, R507, R22 and R1234yf (Elke refrigerant–oil compatibility table; full list on datasheet page 4).
• Not used: Not used in ammonia (R717) systems; the manufacturer recommends mineral oil for these systems.
• Compressor type: ISO VG 32 grade POE; reciprocating (hermetic and semi-hermetic) compressors are the recommended application.
• Use: Initial compressor fill and oil top-up; retrofit from R12 / R22 / R502 to HFC refrigerants in systems with mineral or alkylbenzene oil residue.
• Miscibility: Miscible with mineral, alkylbenzene, PAO and other POE oils; incompatible with PAG oils. Properties change when mixed with oil of a different viscosity.
• Protection: Anti-wear additive package for steel and aluminum surfaces; rust and corrosion protection including copper alloys; compatible with paints, coatings and elastomers.
• Water content: Below 50 ppm in new product.

Storage and Handling Warnings

• POE oil is hygroscopic and absorbs moisture from the air: close the container tightly immediately after use; store in a dry place between −20 … +40 °C.
• If the product has been stored below −20 °C, warm it above 20 °C before use.
• Packaging: 1 L plastic container, approx. 65 × 107 × 229 mm (12 per carton).
