Designed for low temperature (LBP) commercial refrigeration applications such as freezers, blast freezing, low-temperature cold rooms and low-temperature display cabinets, the Danfoss Maneurop NTZ048A4LR1B is a hermetic reciprocating compressor (Danfoss code: 120F0227). The NTZ series is the low-temperature sibling of the MTZ (medium temperature); with its single-cylinder design, 48 cm³ swept volume and 2 HP power, it delivers with R404A under ASHRAE LBP conditions (evaporating -31.7°C / condensing +40.6°C) 4,070 BTU/h (1,193 W) of cooling capacity. In addition to R404A/R507A, it also works with the R452A, R454C, R455A low-GWP refrigerants; it is charged with POE oil.

Its internal thermal motor protection and rotalock service valve connections make installation and service easy. This model replaces the older Maneurop LTZ022 / LT22 (2 HP LBP).

Technician's Tips

• Braze the connections on the Rotalock service valves under nitrogen to prevent internal oxidation.
