Designed for high capacity and durability in commercial and industrial refrigeration systems (medium temperature / MT), the Danfoss Maneurop MTZ 100-4VM is a hermetic reciprocating compressor (Danfoss model: MTZ100HS4AVE). With its 4-cylinder design, 171.26 cm³ displacement and 8 1/3 HP power, it is suitable for cold rooms, supermarket display cases, process cooling and blast freezer applications. With a supply range of 380-415V/3/50Hz and 460V/3/60Hz, it runs on both 50 Hz and 60 Hz networks; with an acoustic hood, the sound power drops from 85 dB to 79 dB.

Technician Recommendations

• Use the ODF sleeves supplied with the product on the rotalock service valves and braze the connections under nitrogen to prevent internal oxidation.
• POE oil absorbs moisture; keep the compressor sealed until the moment of installation and evacuate the system thoroughly before commissioning (moisture = acid + winding failure).
• Verify the phase sequence and direction of rotation at first start-up; do not allow more than 12 starts per hour, and use a short cycle timer if necessary.
• In parallel/tandem installations, equalize the crankcase oil levels using the 3/8 inch flare oil equalization port.
