Cubigel NUY55RAa Hermetic Compressor – 1/5 HP, R290, HBP 778 W

Cubigel NUY55RAa is a 1/5 HP hermetic reciprocating compressor made for light commercial appliances operating at positive temperatures, such as bottle coolers, beverage coolers, display cabinets and water dispensers. It runs on R290 (propane); with a displacement of 5.5 cm³ it delivers a cooling capacity of 778 W (2,655 BTU/h) at ASHRAE HMBP conditions.

Built on the U series body, the NUY55RAa can be used in both capillary tube and expansion valve systems with its fan-cooled design and CSIR (start capacitor) motor. At HMBP ASHRAE conditions it operates efficiently with COP 2.69. Propane has a GWP of 3; it is a suitable option for low-charge systems that are not affected by F-Gas restrictions.

• 🔥 R290 is a flammable refrigerant (class A3). Brazing, leak testing and charging must be carried out according to the rules for flammable refrigerants: a ventilated area, no ignition sources and compliance with charge limits are essential. This compressor is for R290 systems only.

• Application limit: This model is HMBP — it is for positive-temperature coolers. It is not used in chest freezer and ice cream cabinet (LBP) applications.
