Cubigel NUY45RAa Hermetic Compressor – 1/5 HP, R290, HBP 615 W

Cubigel NUY45RAa is a 1/5 HP hermetic reciprocating compressor made for light commercial appliances operating at positive temperatures, such as bottle coolers, beverage coolers, display cabinets and water dispensers. It runs on R290 (propane); with a displacement of 4.5 cm³ it delivers a cooling capacity of 615 W (2,098 BTU/h) at ASHRAE HMBP conditions.

Built on the U series body, the NUY45RAa can be used in both capillary tube and expansion valve systems with its fan-cooled design and CSIR (start capacitor) motor. With COP 2.77 at HMBP ASHRAE conditions it is among the most efficient models in the series. Propane has a GWP of 3; it is a suitable option for low-charge systems that are not affected by F-Gas restrictions.

• 🔥 R290 is a flammable refrigerant (class A3). Brazing, leak testing and charging must be carried out according to the rules for flammable refrigerants: a ventilated area, no ignition sources and compliance with charge limits are essential. This compressor is for R290 systems only.
• 🔧 When replacing: the start capacitor and relay are fitted according to the CSIR connection; compare the refrigerant, HMBP class and mounting hole spacing of the old compressor with the dimension drawing.
• Application limit: This model is HMBP — it is for positive-temperature coolers. It is not used in chest freezer and ice cream cabinet (LBP) applications.
