Practical Usage Note for Field Technicians

Technician's Note: Before mounting the valve, make sure the green O-ring seal is fully seated. Use Insert 1 and 2 together for 1/4" pipes and only Insert 2 for 5/16" pipes. No adapter is needed for 3/8" pipes. After tightening the bolts evenly, connect your manifold hose. Pierce the pipe by turning the needle clockwise all the way with the Allen key, then turn it counterclockwise to start the gas flow (for testing or charging). These valves are suitable for being left permanently on the system.
